Thirsty

THIRSTY

Are you thirsty today?  Maybe you're not thirsty for water--but you are thirsty just the same.  Perhaps you are thirsty for finances, thirsty for affirmation, thirsty for a cure, or even thirsty to hear from God.  There was a time when the Israelites were thirsty--really thirsty--the kind of desert thirsty when you have been sucking down sand for a few decades.  In response, God gave them a well, He gave them water, and He gave them a song!

"From there the Israelites traveled to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, 'Assemble the people, and I will give them water.'  There the Israelites sang this song: 'Spring up, O well!  Yes, sing about it!  Sing of this well, which princes dug, which great leaders hollowed out with their scepters and staffs.'"  (Numbers 21:16-18)

Today is as good a day as any to start digging a well.  Close your eyes and ask God where you should start digging.  Your water is coming...

Mary

MARY

The first person to see Jesus on earth (at his birth) is known for her purity--The Virgin Mary.

The first person to see Jesus on earth (after his resurrection) is known for her sin--Mary Magdalene.

"It was early on Sunday morning when Jesus rose from the dead, and the first person who saw him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons" (Mark 16:9,NLT).

Two women--both named Mary--had the honor of being the first to see Jesus--one was justified by the law--the other was justified by grace!
