LIFE

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

 

The reason that "whoever believes (trusts) will in Him have eternal life" (John 3:15) is given in 3:16.  #1--God loves the world and all that is in it, including you.  God's love is a sacrificial love that is freely given without strings attached.  #2--He loves the world that He created so much that He has given us the gift of His one and only, unique, and one of a kind Son--Jesus.  #3--This sacrificial gift of Jesus is for whoever (anyone and everyone) that will put their trust in Him.  #4--The result of trusting in Jesus is rescue from a life of death and transformation into a life of eternal living.

 

Today, if you feel like you are dying, call out to Jesus and receive His gift of living!

LIFE

"Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away" (James 4:14).

Here's the problem with worrying about tomorrow--you don't know what is actually going to happen tomorrow--or even if you will have a tomorrow. Life is brief, it's fragile, and life is filled with the unexpected. You don't know...so, enjoy today without wasting time worrying about tomorrow. I like that song that says, "Live like you are dying". Life is precious and this moment may be your last moment on planet Earth--so enjoy it.

Repeat outloud after me: "I...(your name)...will...enjoy...every...moment...of...this...day...because...it...is...a...gift...from...God"
